SOPHNET 2013 Fall Winter 7-Hole Zip Up Work Boots

A statement of quiet aggression against the background of chaos and turbulence that is today, the eleventh Stone Island Shadow Project steps in and leans forward. The collection is built on classic menswear archetypes honed to an edge just shy of the subversive. Atemporal and eminently wearable, the 5919 collection is built for those who make moves that turn obstacles into opportunities. Details and designs are informed by equal parts sartorial tradition and subcultural edge. Fabrics are high speed and low drag; unfussy and technical to the degree that they are practical. Colors balance credibility with flashes of energy and high-fidelity saturation. Pattern and graphic infusions complete a package made possible only through the engineering and expertise that is Stone Island.

Inspired by Nike founder and Oregon Track & Field Coach Bill Bowerman’s time in the 10th Mountain Division of the US Army, the Innovation Kitchen on the guidance of Tobie Hatfield set out to honor their founding father. Goals of building a lighter, more breathable but still protective piece of footwear became the focus. This technical marvel has resulted in technologies such as Natural Motion Cushioning unit for improved support and speed as well as agile performance. For great grip, Sticky Rubber forefoot lugs are strategically mapped out for the necessary agility and traction in uncertain terrain.
With its armed forces goal, the boot also comes complete with a “puncture and laceration resistant thermoplastic forefoot shield and genuine leather with Kevlar sheath”. All in all the boot also boasts the ability to be considered one of the lightest and fastest drying boots of its kind on the planet.
These functional square glasses were created in collaboration with Kaneko Optical. They use an innovative material, in which binchotan charcoal is kneaded into the plastic of the frame. The blue light-blocking lenses protect your eyes from harmful rays from PCs and smartphones. The titanium components ensure lightweight construction and high durability. The modern square design creates an intellectual impression. Available in three colors: black, brown, and a distinctive navy, these glasses combine practicality with fashion.
