Arc’teryx Veilance ss2013 lookbook

A statement of quiet aggression against the background of chaos and turbulence that is today, the eleventh Stone Island Shadow Project steps in and leans forward. The collection is built on classic menswear archetypes honed to an edge just shy of the subversive. Atemporal and eminently wearable, the 5919 collection is built for those who make moves that turn obstacles into opportunities. Details and designs are informed by equal parts sartorial tradition and subcultural edge. Fabrics are high speed and low drag; unfussy and technical to the degree that they are practical. Colors balance credibility with flashes of energy and high-fidelity saturation. Pattern and graphic infusions complete a package made possible only through the engineering and expertise that is Stone Island.

Arc'teryx LEAF Cold WX Pant LT Gen 2.1 MultiCam Men’s is a synthetic insulated, windproof cold-weather pant intended for direct-action use in low temperatures. A hybrid materials build reinforces high-wear areas at the seat, knees, and ankles to improve durability and service life. Full-length side zips enable quick on/off over boots and allow adjustable ventilation. Fit is stabilized with an elasticized, adjustable nylon web waist and suspender loops for optional suspenders. Cargo pockets provide storage for hats, gloves, and small accessories. PFAS Warning: made with PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) chemicals.

ARC’TERYX LEAF Assault Pant AR Men’s – MultiCam (Gen2) is a durable, mission-focused field pant designed for mobility, load carriage, and compatibility with boots and protective equipment. The articulated build combines a gusseted crotch for unrestricted movement with an internal knee-cap sleeve that accepts removable soft knee pads or LEAF knee caps (sold separately). Velcro® ankle cuff closures seal over boots to reduce snagging and debris entry. Storage is optimized for work in vehicles and with PPE: hand pockets include an internal folding-knife pocket, expandable cargo flap pockets provide dump-pocket capacity, elongated drop-in seat pockets handle longer items, and thigh pockets are positioned for access when seated, harnessed, or wearing kit.
Materials include NYCO Ripstop Cordura® 6.5 oz (50% nylon / 50% cotton) for balanced abrasion resistance and breathability, plus UFP EV®50 10 mm removable foam knee pads for impact protection.

Stone Island Navigation Series: Shedding Light by Liam MacRae deploys a canine unit as both subject and sensor. The sequence examines tracking protocols, movement signatures, and light scatter in terrain navigation. Objective: assess animal-assisted pursuit as a guidance vector. Visual narrative captures the moment of release—unleashing the chase to test instinctive tracking against controlled illumination parameters.

The Minotaur Jacket is a mid-weight, fully windproof shell with a grid fleece backer for insulation. WINDSTOPPER fabric makes it the warmest and most weather-protective LEAF softshell. The breathable membrane sheds moisture and regulates body temperature. Stretch content provides full mobility and comfort. A full front zipper, large hand pockets, and two internal zippered stow pockets add versatility. Articulation in the shoulders and elbows allows for dynamic motion and room for layers underneath. Pit zippers rapidly ventilate heat. Hand pockets, two internal zippered stow pockets, and bicep pockets. 4x4 Velcro identification patches.

A minimally constructed, articulated stow-away hood fits the head snugly, allowing a helmet to be worn over it. The fit of the shirt is generous enough to pull over a mid layer, but fitted enough to keep the wind out. Features include elasticized sleeve cuffs, an adjustable hem, and an angled chest pocket.

On May 19, 2005, NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit captured this stunning view as the Sun sank below the rim of Gusev crater on Mars. This Panoramic Camera mosaic was taken around 6:07 in the evening of the rover's 489th Martian day, or sol.
Sunset and twilight images are occasionally acquired by the science team to determine how high into the atmosphere the Martian dust extends, and to look for dust or ice clouds. Other images have shown that the twilight glow remains visible, but increasingly fainter, for up to two hours before sunrise or after sunset. The long Martian twilight (compared to Earth's) is caused by sunlight scattered around to the night side of the planet by abundant high altitude dust. Similar long twilights or extra-colorful sunrises and sunsets sometimes occur on Earth when tiny dust grains that are erupted from powerful volcanoes scatter light high in the atmosphere.
The Spec Pant ensures the wearer is invisibly armed for everyday wear despite their apparent tailored simplicity. This design is extremely adaptable, with a side pocket array that's easily accessible but visually concealed, while a cotton/poly twill WINDSTOPPER® fabric with a cotton/poly tricot backer offers superior protection.
Made in Canada.

Agustín Hernández Navarro is a Mexican sculptor and architect born in Mexico City. He is the son of politician Lamberto Hernández and Amalia Navarro and studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Leading exponent of “emotional” architecture in his country, Hernandez has fused elements from Mexico’s Pre-columbian past in his contemporary architecture. He usually starts by designing the vertical elements of a building, such as the stairs, as he feels these are of much importance. As organic nature, his architecture unites structure, form, and function.
