Stone Island Shadow Project SS2015 Lookbook

The 14th Stone Island Shadow Project collection is a mirage on the horizon; a heat haze of perspective shifting inversion and refraction. Vibrant and gritty, granular and loose, it's the freshness and intensity of youth tempered by process and exposure to the elements. West coast Zephyr inspired colors are turned up to maximum saturation, then slightly muted by treatments both softening and metallic. Materials have an easy, lived-in feel, but retain the underlying edge of technical performance and real use. Loose street and slope born shapes flow with relaxed tailoring and diffused prep looks. Graphics are minimal definitions; outlines and impressions of the underlying framework.

Cotton canvas upper with leather and pony hair inlays. Oversized tongue carrying the CXADO heat print motif. White real rubber sole.

40404 CAGOULE _ DPM GRID JACQUARD Hooded jacket in custom made Stone Island DPM design cotton/nylon jacquard. Garment dyed. It is fitting that industrial age Jacquard looms are regarded by many as a precursor to modern computer science; the resolution and complexity achievable with today’s machines are an elegant reflection of the digital age. The cotton and nylon yarns of DPM GRID JAQUARD are garment dyed separately in complementary or contrasting colours. The results of this dye procedure are spectacularly multi-layered; capturing both high definition contrasts or subtle tonal shading depending on colour combination. Computation rendered in physical wearable form. Drawstring on hood, in hollowcore nylon tunnel. Shaped front bellows pockets with zip fastening edged in cotton jersey. Wide armholes to ease movement. Adjustable straps at shaped cuffs. Two snaps and zip fastening edged in cotton jersey.

Ribbed heavy nylon cuffs and bottom band. Inlay in reversed fleece on the lower back. Zip and two buttons fastening. 501A3 V NECK _ CO PIGMENT DYE Long sleeve V-neck knit in light cotton crêpe. Garment dyed and subsequently over-dyed with natural pigments to achieve a deep and iridescent colour shade. Ribbed collar. Zigzag motif on the ribbed cuffs. Ribbed inner bottom line. On the left sleeve, partly concealed Stone Island Shadow Project badge. 30203 WIDE PANT _ DAVID-C Pants in David-C. Garment dyed under pressure. Over-dyed cotton recipe. This historical Japanese star shaped cross section polyester/polyamide microfiber, is enriched by an inner diagonal cotton face coming directly from the loom. The high pressure 130°C garment dyeing procedure colours the polyester outer surface and transforms the hand of the material resulting in a unique tactile experience. After thoroughly washing the piece, a second dye bath over-dyes the inner cotton surface. This double dye procedure enables a wide range of tone on tone or highly contrasting colours. Wide fit, low crotch. Diagonal front pockets. Two back pockets with button fastening. Vertical fitting seam above back pockets. Leg bottom edge with tape edging. Drawstring at waist. Zip and button fastened fly.

A0302 SB BLAZER _ HOLLOWCORE METAL Blazer in hollowcore nylon twill. Garment dyed. The high-density structure of HOLLOWCORE METAL fabric belies its surprisingly lightweight and comfortable hand. This eff ect is achieved by the use of hollow polyamide fi bres, which provide substantial volume with minimal mass. When garment dyed, the special structure of the fabric results in incredibly vivid metallic colours and a deep iridescent sheen. Notched lapels with squared indent. Two fitting vertical seams on the front. Welt front pockets. Chest pocket hidden by a fabric inlay creating a fold. On the leſt sleeve, partly concealed Stone Island Shadow Project badge. Modular item engineered to augment the insulation properties of the outerwear pieces: it can be fi xed, through loops and snaps, to all the Stone Island Shadow Project shoulder pieces. Round neckline with quilted and padded collar stand on the rear. Cotton mesh patch pockets with diagonal opening. Cotton mesh double layer inlay on the back.
