In 2021 designer Jun Takahashi has turned to some of his long-time friends in the Tokyo fashion scene to offer their take on UC’s signature hybrid style with a series of leather sleeve down jackets with various mixed materials and detailing. Created in partnership with peers sacai, Kolor, Fragment design, TheSoloist and N.Hoolywood. The jackets all take a different tact to exploring the same style of garment.

Putting his signature punk inspired twist to classic silhouettes- Jun Takahashi releases the L4203-3 Blouson as part of the brand's "anatomicouture" autumn/winter collection. Based on a bomber jacket the piece retains the rounded shape of the jacket along with ribbed collar, cuffs, and bottom hem. Pinstripe is utilized as the piece's majority giving it a more sophisticated aesthetic; UNDERCOVER's signature mixed material construction is also showcased in leather sleeve sections, and knitted sweater tail rear section. Peninsula House by Watson Architecture + Design
Beach house on Victoria’s coastline organized as two distinct volumes: a private pavilion for sleeping and bathing, and a communal pavilion for cooking, dining, and living. The separation creates a clear distinction between individual and shared activities while maintaining a single architectural identity through a continuous roof structure. Large column-free interiors open directly onto north and west-facing decks, reducing the boundary between interior and exterior space. The structure was prefabricated off-site to minimize construction time, while recycled materials—including reclaimed stadium timber and salvaged jarrah columns—were used throughout. The project reconsiders the Australian beach house typology through a simple, efficient arrangement of space, structure, and material.

SENSE magazine’s seasonal “TEXT in visvim” editorial brings to our attention many of the upcoming pieces from the designer’s 2012 spring/summer “Dissertation on Introspection” collection. The popular natural indigo and Amami-Oshima mud techniques are amongst the unique dyeing methods used this season. Material-wise, Egyptian Giza and LUXSIC cotton have been chosen as the base for the corduroy and denim items, with KONBU, Belgium cowhide leather and Cordura Ballistic nylon used to create this season’s range of bags. Combine all of this with a strong range of earthy colors and classic visvim styling, this “TEXT in visvim” editorial helps show off the solidity of the 2012 spring/summer “Dissertation on Introspection” collection nicely.
