Stone Island Shadow, the project designed by the creative team Acronym®, Errolson Hugh and Michaela Sachenbacher, sees in the third season its linear progression in both depth and direction. Newly developed fabrics, styles and graphical standards continue the project's original mandate and demonstrate its ongoing relevance through styles whose intrinsic value is a direct result of their sophistication.
Modular Performance Grid, PARSEQ is the organizational framework upon which the idea is built. The name is an acronym for the five categories of the system: PROOF, AUGMENT, RESIST, SKIN and EQUIP.
Stone Island Shadow is primarily a system based upon the idea of clothing as a man's interface with his environment. Proven functional principles from both military and active sportswear allow the individual items in the collection to work both alone and, most effectively, synergistically together. The Grid is independent of seasonal and aesthetic change, so there is functional continuity between all Shadow collections and items regardless of when they were produced. Each item is an extension of its owner's personal system.
The Stone Island Shadow vector continues with the project's fourth seasonal capsule collection. Fueled by new reactions within the project's original conceptual core, fresh manifestations of fabric, style, detail, and interface emerge as the lightest, yet most comprehensive, offering thus far.

Gordon von Steiner’s “Troya” is a visually striking short film set in the Troieshchyna neighborhood of Kyiv, known for its stark Soviet-era architecture. The film explores themes of urban isolation and resilience through a series of compelling and gritty vignettes. Von Steiner’s direction captures the raw and unembellished aesthetics of Troieshchyna, highlighting its dense clusters of monotonous apartment buildings and the lives of its residents. The film juxtaposes the area’s bleak physical environment with moments of unexpected beauty and humanity, creating a powerful narrative that resonates with the viewer .
Made more than 100 years ago by a Welsh singer named Margaret Watts Hughes — not by her hand but rather using her voice and an Eidophone, a “recording” device of her own invention. She would sing into the Eidophone’s funnel and so make its diaphragm vibrate. She’d then bring this vibrating diaphragm in contact with a glass plate covered in pigment to create these wondrous images, akin to visual sound recordings, or what she called Voice Figures (and the more complex Impression Figures).

Silent Poets for Issey Miyake Spring/Summer 2001 is a hardcover lookbook photographed by Françoise Huguier. It presents imagery from Issey Miyake’s Spring/Summer 2001 collection and includes the collaboration CD Red Eyes Tribe at the back of the book. Japanese electronic duo Silent Poets produced the music for the runway show.

The Archery Hall, one of two sports pavilions FT Architects (Katsuya Fukushima, Hiroko Tominaga) built in 2013 at Kogakuin University, west Tokyo. Each is a column-free room of 7.2 by 10.8 m under an exposed timber roof of horizontal and vertical members, bolt-and-nut jointed. The Marble Caves, known as Marble Chapel and Marble Cathedral, are located at the center of the lake and were formed by waves over the past 6,000 years.

Jun Takahashi framed Undercover Autumn/Winter 2014 around fear, warmth and royalty. Braided crowns and rhinestones were offset by vamp-red contact lenses, red mascara, tartan and toile de Jouy interrupted by UFOs, turning the runway into a corrupted fairytale.

The Holiday 2014 collection is restored as the original seven-image studio set, separating it from the Holiday 2013 forest campaign.
The range draws on Porter’s expertise and sees the first three pieces in either black or khaki with 2800 Denier Nylon construction as the remaining pieces come in black, navy, or camel with premium leather and an embossed marquetry motif.
NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy uses a 400mm lens on a digital still camera to photograph a target of opportunity on Earth, 250 miles below, on June 3, 2013. The many-windowed Cupola is the best place on the International Space Station for taking pictures. Cassidy has been aboard the orbital outpost since late March and is due to return to Earth in September.
On May 19, 2005, NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit captured this stunning view as the Sun sank below the rim of Gusev crater on Mars. This Panoramic Camera mosaic was taken around 6:07 in the evening of the rover's 489th Martian day, or sol.
Sunset and twilight images are occasionally acquired by the science team to determine how high into the atmosphere the Martian dust extends, and to look for dust or ice clouds. Other images have shown that the twilight glow remains visible, but increasingly fainter, for up to two hours before sunrise or after sunset. The long Martian twilight (compared to Earth's) is caused by sunlight scattered around to the night side of the planet by abundant high altitude dust. Similar long twilights or extra-colorful sunrises and sunsets sometimes occur on Earth when tiny dust grains that are erupted from powerful volcanoes scatter light high in the atmosphere.

The women’s S/LAB EXO Tank treats support as a mapped structure. A polyurethane EXO Sensifit grid braces the upper chest, shoulders and spine, while Smart Skin places Actilite Pro jersey through the core and open stretch mesh at the heat zones. The skin fit keeps the grid engaged; flatlock seams and reflective marks finish the racing layer without adding bulk.
